70 Years Old Vine of Merlot from Kikyogahara \u6854\u6897\u30f6\u4e18<\/h3>\n

Goichi Wine was founded by Goichi Hayashi in 1951, planting his first vine – Japanese grown Merlot that he brought back from the neighboring prefecture, Yamagata with his son who majored in agronomy at a university. They launched a vineyard with one Merlot vine in their motherland – Kikyogahara where they challenged to grow Merlot in their estate. They have practically succeeded viticulture with application of reduced chemical and organic compost, and technically conduct disease management by rain-cut covers over the vine rows and paper-cover placed one-by-one onto each grape bunch during ripening period.<\/p>\n

High Attitude Single Vineyard Chardonnay<\/h3>\n

Produced from the estate Chardonnay grown at exclusive vineyard situated at 800 metre a.s.l, located in Kakizawa-district, Shiojiri-city. Low-temperature fermentation conducted, followed by seven month in-oak maturation. Barrel-selection undertaken for blending at bottling. Approx 1,600 bottles produced on 2018 vintage.<\/p>\n

Excellent balance with fruitfulness and characters derived from oak in solid & comfortable acidity content.<\/p>\n
