One of the Biggest Vineyards and Wineries in Japan<\/h3>\n

Hokkaido Wines owns 447ha estste and processes 2,500t of grapes annually in Hokkaido, where it has perfect environment for genuine wine winemaking.<\/p>\n

PIWI: Abbreviated word from a German coined term “Pilzwiderstandsf\u00e4hige Rebsorten”. Germen anti-fungal disease varieties were bred particularly for aiming to grow with reducing chemical sprays applied in vineyards.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hokkaido Wine Co. had imported seedlings from Germany and started cultivating – Rondo, Regent, Acolon, Solaris.<\/p>\n

Rondo: Urausu-town, Tsurunuma \u9db4\u6cbc\u6d66\u81fc\u753a 77%<\/p>\n

Regent: Yoichi-town 8%<\/p>\n

Acolon: Yoichi-town 8%<\/p>\n

Zweigelt: Yoichi-town 7%<\/p>\n

Colour shows clear & brilliant garnet meanwhile touch of nose – fresh berry & dark-ripen fruit is presented. Smooth and silky texture to palate with fresh acidity & moderate tannin yet, quite zesty astringency stimulates mouthfeel.<\/p>\n
