Description
From Group of Local Grapegrowers to Owner Couple
Established during the Meiji period (1900s) in Yamanashi, this winery was launched by the local grapegrowers gathered to produce the wines for self-consumption within the community. Nowadays, with the trade name as ‘Soleil Wine’, the owner couple Mr and Mrs Suzuki who both studied the wine science majoring in microbiology and fermentation technology, are
consistently producing their wines particularly from locally grown grapes. The grapes they use are estate-grown as well as exclusively from the contracted grapegrowers within the radius of 5 km to the winery’s location. Their vineyards are maintained with no tillage and reducing usage of chemical application aiming tomenhance symbiosis of the environment. The wines are finished with minimum usage of sulfur as preservation.
