Terrior of Chikuma River Wine Valley, One of the Smallest Winery in Japan
The owner Yoshiaki HASUMI who worked and experienced winemaking at several wineries, established his own winery in 2005. He initially started growing both wine and table grapes, nowadays calling himself the smallest winery in Japan, he grows Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Koshu in his estate vineyards. While he is managing his winery and vineyards, he also runs his cellar door and restaurant business offering ‘marriage’ with the local food and vegetables. He absolute plays an important role as an unique entrepreneur who contributes to develop the agribusiness of local community.

Premium Series – Chikuma River Wine Valley
Maceration was conducted then wild fermentation on estate grown Pinot Noir for approximately 21 days at 20°C. Oak maturation in both American and French oak barrels (approx. 35% new oak).
Pale garnet coloured wine with fresh and fruity aroma of ripen red fruit such as raspberry, strawberry and sour cherry; herb and hint of spice. Vibrant acidity ,delicate tannin and plenty of fruit flavours balanced well on palate.
