Hokkaido Wines owns 447ha estste and processes 2,500t of grapes annually in Hokkaido, where it has perfect environment for genuine wine winemaking.
Kerner is a white grape variety grown widely across Germany. It was first bred in Württemberg in 1929 by crossing Riesling and Trollinger (Schiava Grossa), and was named after Justinus Kerner, a 19th Century local German poet and writer of drinking songs. Kerner is used in blends and to make varietal wines, which shows attractive apple, pear and citrus characteristics, sometimes with a hint of stonefruit.
Fermented and aged in stainless steel tank for 8 months. Intensely characterized by citrus and passion fruit aroma along with sweetness in the flavour. Comfortable acidity creates balanced and structural flavour besides its touch of sweetness in the taste performs to suite for easy-drinking with light delicacies.
